The Student Council has planned a summer fundraising event for our Star of the Sea community. We have organised a Race for Life event to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. We hope to help this charity continue its excellent work in finding a cure and effective treatments of this disease.
Our race will take place on Friday 7th July on our School field. Children can wear pink for the day and bring in a donation of £1.
We would be grateful of any support you can show us by making a donation of any amount via the school office or online at our Just Giving page.
Thank you for your support
Our School Councillors have been promoting the GULP (Give Up Loving Pop) Campaign set up by Sefton Council. They introduced a challenge to our Year 5 and 6 pupils to produce an assembly to explain the effects of drinking too many fizzy drinks.
We look forward to watching both assemblies and learning more about keeping healthy.
Red Nose day is 24th March 2017.
The School Council will be fundraising for this worthwhile cause. Keep your eyes peeled!!
School Councillors have been involved in The Strand Network's Local History Project. They have attended meetings and completing a project on this throughout the school year.
