Safer Internet day 2016

This years theme was Play your part for a better internet! As a school we had an assembly and discussed our thoughts and ideas about the Internet and watched Smartie talking to Red and Murphy about respecting difference online. We also worked on activities back in our classrooms about being safe when using the internet both in school and at home.

Gangs Programme-January 2016

We were lucky enough to have James Riley in school to talk about his GANGS programme. James worked with year 5 each day for one lesson discussing what gangs are and how to stay safe. We really enjoyed having Jam

es in school and hope to see him again soon. Thank you James!

Some of our year 4 & year 5 Children were invited to Goodison Park for an Internet Safety day. We had fun completing quizzes, puzzles and playing Braingo. We also got to meet lots of people who chatted to us about Internet Safety.

Show Racism the Red card

We recently visitied Anfield for a Show Racism the Red Card event. We watched an information film about Racism, listened to the effects it has on people and then we thought about questions to do with Racism to ask a panel of people who arrived a bit later on. Guess who was on the panel...? Only Luis Enrique and Daniel Sturridge from the LFc mens team!! Ms Parker was beside herself!! Here are some pictures of the event. Lucy even won a signed LFC shirt as her question to the panel was judged the best question.

Have a look at the official Show Racism the Red Card website for more info and our visit to Anfield!

So watch this space......

Shakespeare Week.

The whole school learnt about Shakespeare. As a school, the children retold the story of 'A Midsummers Night's Dream' with the help from an actor. It was really good fun.

Each class was given a novel by Shakespeare to read and do activities related to their story.

Come and walk through our hall to see the brilliant work that the children have done.

A selection of pictures taken throughout the day

Easter Bonnet Parade 2015.

The FAMOUS Easter Bonnet Parade. The children had fun walking up and down the stage modelling their creation.

There can only be one winner from each class. Our judges had a very tough job deciding!

Maundy Thursday Mass, Our Lady Star of the Sea

Assembly with Father Dominic. Maundy Thursday.

Father Dominic held a Mass with the children and teachers. We learnt how Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and how he promised to serve them.

The teachers washed the hands of the children in their class as a symbolic act.

It was a very emotional Mass!
