Non - Fiction




Lessons on Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar. These lessons will also be extended to homework, so you will always know what your child is currently learning. Spellings will be given out to children on Friday (in their homework books) the spelling test will then take place the following Thursday.



Big Maths

Daily lessons which involve counting, estimating and calculations.


Core Maths - Spring Term 1

  • Use number bonds within 20.
  • Use practical equipment for multiplication and division. 
  • Find one half of shapes and quantities.
  • Addition and subtraction to 20.
  • Recognise and name common 2d and 3d shapes.
  • Sequence events in chronological order.

  • Identify and describe the basic structure of a variety of common flowering plant.

  • Identify and name a variety of common wild and garden plants, including deciduous and evergreen trees.
