Week 8

Hi Year 4,

I hope you have all had a lovely week with your families. Is anyone doing the Rainbow Smile Challenge? Did you do anything special or different at home for VE day? I would love to hear all about it or even see some pictures! Don't forget about our blog.

We are into Week 8 now on your Home Learning packs. As usual, I have attached some videos and useful links below to help you with the work that was given to you in your packs. These packs are also uploaded into the Week 6 home learning tab on this school website in case you need anything.

Continue to look after yourselves. We miss you all lots and lots!

Come and See

Your religion work for this week is on a story from the bible about a man named Philip who was a follower of Jesus.

Watch the video below of the story I gave you to read where Philip baptises the man from Ethiopia.

English

Some of your worksheets for this week cover 'pronouns' and 'nouns'.

I have attached a video from the Espresso Discovery website to help you to remember what these are and how to use them. Don't forget, there will also be a fun quiz and activity to do on this video on the Espresso Discovery website!

I have also attached a pronoun game for you to have a go at and test your knowledge!

Maths

All of your worksheets for this week are revision on things already covered.

I have attached some videos on negative numbers and adding/subtracting 10, 100 and 1,000. It's been a while since we looked at both of these so you may need to refresh your memory!

History

Your History work this week is all about what Anglo-Saxon life is like. Here is an Anglo-Saxon warrior who may answer some of your questions!

Art

In case you got through all of the Alice in Wonderland art in your packs, here is a step-by-step video for how to draw a Healthcare Hero!

You might want to use it to make a card for a Healthcare Hero that you know, you could use it as part of the school Rainbow Smile Challenge or you could just draw it for fun and maybe even show us all how it turned out on the school blog!
