Spring Term
In this term we will be continuing to discover the world around us, learning about both winter and then Spring. The children will take part in nature walks and Reception will be visiting a farm to learn about animals and their young.
In Literacy we will be reading some well-known and well-loved stories including The Billy Goats Gruff, The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Dear Zoo, Whatever Next, Pass the Jam Jim and many more. We will also be sharing stories linked to the children's interests to further develop their love of reading.
In maths the children will continue on their journey through Big Maths in addition to developing independent problem-solving skills and exploration of concepts in their play.
The Reception children will also continue to access weekly gymnastics and yoga sessions to support their physical development and build their confidence in gaining new skills.
To support the children's personal, social and emotional development and also communication skills they will also have a weekly key person time to talk about their interests and also share their news from home.

St David's Day
Mother's Day
St Patrick's Day
Easter
We will also continue to use observations of the children's play to help plan stimulating learning opportunities.
