Burning the Morana

We learned about the Czech Republic, where it is and what it’s flag looks like. We found out that there are lots of ancient and beautiful castles in Czech Republicans Prague is the capital city. The people who live there celebrate a special festival called The Burning of Morana. Morana is the winter Goddess, in order to say goodbye to winter and welcome in spring the people make a straw Morana and set it on fire. They then throw the Morana into a river and watch it float away.
