Catholic Life and Mission of our School
'Shining in the light of Jesus, as we learn, grow and love.'
Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School aims to make the school a place where the Gospel values of our Lord Jesus Christ are taught, lived and experienced, where prayer and celebrations are integral to life and where religious growth and development are stimulated throughout the curriculum as we shine in the light of Jesus.
As stewards of Jesus Christ, we live out our mission daily through nurturing each person, through our curriculum; by helping others in our community and with our strong partnership with our Parish St Oscar Romero.

Congratulations to all the staff and children at Our lady Star of the Sea who successfully achieved the Live Simply Award on 13.12.22 and are the 11th school in the Archdiocese and 1 out of 40 in the country to achieve it. Well done and keep up the hard work!
We live out our mission through our curriculum. In Autumn term, we listen to the Psalm 139:14, ' I am wonderfully made,' which links to out topic, Pride in our Place. In Spring term, we listen to the words of St. Oscar Romero, 'Aspire to be more, not to have more,' which links to our topic, Aspire and Achieve. In Summer term, we listen to the words of Pope Francis, 'As stewards of God's creation, we are called to make the earth a beautiful garden for the human family,' which links with our topic, Ignite Possibilities and the work we continue to do as part of our Live Simply Award.
