Week 12

Hi Year 4 smiley

I hope you have all had a nice weekend!

This is Week 12, however as I explained on last week's web page, it will be the work for 'Week 11' that you are focusing on as I forgot that we had a half-term in the middle when I was making your new work packs! So you are working on the final week's work in your packs - Week 11!

Keep safe! We miss all of your lovely faces so much!

Miss Murphy, Mrs Walsh & Ms Johnson xxx

Come and See

In your packs, you have a story to read about how the Holy Spirit gave Paul new life and happiness.

Your task was then to make a poster including pictures and written pieces about some of Paul's journeys, his messages, advice and how he lived his life, including some of the difficult challenges he faced. These are all the things Paul went through to spread the Good News and show his love for God.

Watch the video below to recap on Paul's journey and trials to help you with this.

English

You will be finishing chapter 3 of Alice in Wonderland this week! Don't forget to answer the questions and to do the activities set for you in your pack.

Again, you have the chapter printed out for you in your packs, but here is a video to read along with if you like!

You then have worksheets to complete on 'Possessive Apostrophes', a recount to do and a comprehension to complete.

Here is a video to refresh your memory on possessive apostrophes!

Maths

You have work on correspondence problems, perimeter of rectangles and rectilinear shapes, counting squares and, of course, times tables!

Have a go at your worksheets first, then check your work using these videos to see how you got on!

History

This is our final week on Anglo-Saxons!

Your lesson this week involves using what has been discovered at Sutton Hoo to draw conclusions about who was buried there.

This video shows how the grave was found at Sutton Hoo and the items that were found within it.

Trumpets

Ms Hughes has contacted us saying that she misses you all so much and that she hopes you have been taking a bit of time to practise with your instrument! She can't wait to hear you all play again when we are all back in school.

In the meantime, she said she would love to see some pictures or videos of you practising your pieces or photos of your completed trumpet quizzes! You can upload them onto our school blog! Remember, the blog can be found by clicking on the 'Children' tab here on the school website and then clicking on the 'Home Learning' tab and you will then see 'Class Blogs'. Your parents were all sent a text with your log in details a few weeks ago.

All of the practise sheets can be found on our Year 4 class page on the school website under 'Week 7' - just scroll to the very bottom!

Hopefully I see some of you on the blog soon smiley
