Our Lady Star of the Sea PTA

The PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association. It is a group made up of parents, carers, and staff who work together to strengthen the bond between home and school. The PTA’s role is to build community spirit, organise fun events, and raise vital funds that go directly back into supporting our children’s education and experiences.

What We Do

At Our Lady Star of the Sea, the PTA is at the heart of school life. Each year we organise a wide variety of events that bring families together, including:

• Christmas Fair – a festive celebration for all ages

• School Discos – giving children a chance to dance, laugh, and enjoy time with friends

• Adult Bingo Nights – a fun way for parents and carers to connect

• Family Bingo – entertainment for the whole family

• Summer Festival – a highlight of the year with stalls, games, and activities

Why It Matters

Every penny raised from these events goes straight back into the school, funding resources, activities, and opportunities that enrich our children’s learning and wellbeing. The PTA plays a vital role in ensuring our school community thrives, making memories while making a difference. It also gives an opportunity for children to show their talents - Our cheerleading club will preform their dance, our choir will sing some of their songs and our 'After School Club' will make and sell their own stall!
