At Our Lady, Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School, we are passionate about how we teach our children to learn. We were accredited a Thinking School in July 2025. We also embrace learning through talk using Voice 21 Schools approaches.

We appreciate how important the partnership between home and school is and the need for us to work together to ensure a "memorable, quality "education for children to learn, grow and love.
 

We have achieved 'The Live Simply Award' and the Green Flag Eco-Schools Award with distinction through the dedication of our Eco Council. In addition to this, we achieved the Well Being Award for Schools in September 2025 which demonstrates our passion for  mental health and well being. We are also a Platinum Mark PE School.

Our school offers a free Breakfast Club each morning starting at 8:00 am which helps children to have a good healthy start to the day.
